What can be posted, what can’t, and what we do with the information employers give us.
What you can post
Real, open jobs at your own business.
Based in Dahab or South Sinai — Dahab, Nuweiba, Sharm El Sheikh, St Catherine or Taba.
In tourism: hotels and hostels, diving and freediving, kite and windsurf, cafés and restaurants, bars, wellness (yoga, massage), and tours and transport.
Honest details: what the job is, where it is, and how candidates should contact you.
What isn’t allowed
Charging candidates anything — no application fees, deposits, training fees or “visa fees” to get the job.
Fake, misleading or duplicate jobs, or jobs for another business you don’t represent.
Jobs outside Dahab and South Sinai, or outside the categories above.
Discriminatory, offensive or illegal content.
How we check jobs
Ask Dahab reviews each business’s first job before it goes live. After that, the business’s new jobs appear straight away.
Anyone can use Report this job on a job page. We review reports and remove jobs that break these rules.
We can remove any job, and block any business, that breaks these rules.
Jobs stay up for 30 days. Employers can close a job early, or renew it near the end.
For job seekers
You apply directly to the employer by email or WhatsApp. Ask Dahab doesn’t receive or store your application.
A real employer will never ask you to pay to get a job. If one does, please report the job.
If you’re not Egyptian, ask the employer whether they can arrange the permit or visa you need to work in Egypt before you accept a job.
Privacy: what we keep and why
Employers
When you create a business account we store your business name, email address, WhatsApp number and password, plus anything optional you add (your name, phone, website). Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form — nobody at Ask Dahab can read it. We use these details to run your account, to check your business, and to contact you about your jobs.
What’s public
Each job shows your business name, the job details, your website if you added one, and the contact email and/or WhatsApp you chose to show candidates. Your login email and account details are not shown.
Job seekers
We don’t collect anything from job seekers — applications go straight to the employer.
Reports
When someone reports a job we store the reason and details they give. We don’t store who sent it; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of their internet address to stop abuse.
Deleting your account
You can delete your business account at any time from your dashboard (Account → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and all your jobs.
